The Role

We’re seeking a skilled Wok Chef who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in seafood preparation and is confident handling high-heat cooking techniques with precision and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cook to order using wok burners during busy service periods
  • Prepare and cook seafood including prawns, fish, calamari, and shellfish
  • Maintain consistency in flavour, speed, and presentation
  • Assist with prep, stock control, and kitchen organisation
  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards
  • Support the team during peak service

Typical Shift:

A mix of prep, service, and clean-down across a structured roster.

About You

This position requires authentic, hands-on wok experience — a non-negotiable requirement for success in the role.

To be considered, you must have:

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience using wok burners in a professional kitchen
  • Strong understanding of high-heat cooking, timing, and flavour balance
  • Ability to work quickly and stay composed under pressure
  • Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
  • Full working rights in Australia
