Overview

Executive Chef role leading a kitchen you’ll be proud of, with genuine owner support in one of NSW’s most stunning coastal destinations.

About the Venue

Imagine arriving at work each day in a setting that people travel to experience. A venue you’re proud to represent. A business where the owners know your name, value your contribution and genuinely believe that great hospitality starts with great people.

That’s the opportunity on offer.

Set within one of New South Wales’ most beautiful lifestyle destinations, this well-established hospitality venue has earned an outstanding reputation for exceptional dining, memorable celebrations and warm, authentic hospitality.

Following significant investment and continued growth, they’re now looking for an Executive Chef to help shape what’s next.

About the Opportunity

This is more than an opportunity to oversee a successful kitchen. It’s a chance to become part of a business that’s built its reputation on quality, genuine hospitality and the people behind it.

Reporting directly to ownership, you’ll lead the culinary operation across a premium restaurant, relaxed dining offering and a thriving weddings and events business. With a brand-new commercial kitchen and strong foundations already in place, you’ll have the freedom to focus on what great Executive Chefs do best—leading people, developing talent and creating exceptional dining experiences.

You’ll work alongside owners who trust experienced leaders to lead. They welcome fresh ideas, value collaboration and will support you in building a kitchen culture centred on professionalism, respect and long-term success.

The Role

As Executive Chef, you’ll take ownership of the culinary operation while working closely with ownership and the leadership team to continue building on the venue’s outstanding reputation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, mentoring and developing a high-performing kitchen brigade.
  • Designing seasonal menus that showcase exceptional local produce.
  • Delivering consistency and excellence across every service.
  • Managing labour, food costs and kitchen profitability.
  • Recruiting, coaching and retaining talented chefs.
  • Driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Working collaboratively with front-of-house leadership.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of food safety and compliance.

Beyond producing exceptional food, you’ll be responsible for building an outstanding team. You’ll foster a positive, high-performing kitchen where people feel supported, challenged and proud of what they accomplish together.

About You

Whether you’re an experienced Executive Chef looking for a fresh challenge or an accomplished Head Chef ready to take the next step, you’re someone who understands that great kitchens are built by great teams.

You’re a composed and approachable leader who earns respect through your actions. You take pride in developing your team, fostering a positive kitchen culture and maintaining high standards that bring out the best in those around you.

With a balance of commercial awareness and culinary creativity, you’re just as confident designing menus and managing food costs as you are collaborating with colleagues to drive the success of the wider business.

Most importantly, you’re looking for more than your next role. You’re looking for a business where your contribution will be recognised, your ideas respected and your leadership genuinely valued.

What’s On Offer

In return, you’ll enjoy:

  • Up to $140,000 + Super, depending on experience.
  • 4-day roster.
  • A brand-new commercial kitchen.
  • Genuine autonomy to lead the culinary operation.
  • Supportive owners who invest in their people and value your expertise.
  • An established business with strong year-round trade.
  • A premium restaurant, weddings and events operation offering variety and challenge.
  • The opportunity to build, mentor and develop your own leadership team.
  • Sponsorship considered for exceptional candidates already in Australia.
  • The opportunity to live and work in one of New South Wales’ most desirable lifestyle destinations.
