The Company and The Venue

A family-owned small pub group with several venues in their portfolio. The venue is conveniently located in an easily accessible area with public transport right at the entrance. Positioned in the heart of the city, it attracts significant foot traffic and is ideal for tourists.

The Position

This role has it all. You will be responsible for overseeing the overall running of the front office, developing, implementing and monitoring service standards to ensure outstanding guest experience. Your days will be busy providing effective communication with guests, colleagues and your team, and you will be responsible for managing, monitoring and improving operational systems.

In addition, you will be responsible for providing excellent leadership of your team and maximizing yield management. A key to your success will be your ability to collaborate effectively with the team and work closely with the owners to develop strategies and directions that boost revenue.

The salary range is approx $100,000 pa plus super, but can be explored for the right person. The hours are around 45 per week with a flexible roster.

What You Will Need

Prior experience in a comparable role, including a few years in a front office position, is required. You might currently be in a front office supervisory position or a small hotel management role and looking for your next challenge.

You should be adept at communicating effectively at all levels and have outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Sound knowledge of a PMS and RMS systems and an understanding of Micros and relevant qualifications in Hotel Management will be highly regarded. Also, an understanding of financial levers and drivers of a boutique hotel.

In addition to your leadership skills, you will also have strong yield management skills with an ability to solve problems as they arise in a professional, friendly and confident manner.
