About You
We are looking for a head chef who has already carried a kitchen and wants to carry one properly this time. You will likely bring:
- Proven experience as a head chef in a quality venue
- Genuine menu creation ability. Dishes that sell, not just dishes that read well
- Strong commercial skills across costings, margins, labour and stock
- Leadership people actually respond to. The team here is good and has been here a long time, they simply need direction and someone to look up to
- Clear, confident communication with your brigade, your suppliers and your venue manager
- Availability across the weekend, when the venue is at its busiest
- High standards without the ego
Most importantly, you’ll be a Head Chef who still wants to build something. Someone who can read a P&L as confidently as they run a section, lead a team and understand that great kitchens are built on strong fundamentals, consistency and people, not unnecessary complication.
