Please note that this is a relocation role for a Head Chef in Burnt Ends, Singapore: Michelin-Starred Adventure Exclusive Partnership!

Placed Hospitality Recruitment is proud to exclusively partner with Dave Pynt from Burnt Ends, a Michelin-starred beacon of contemporary Australian barbecue in Singapore. This partnership offers a unique opportunity for an exceptional chef / slayer to lead and innovate while being promoted and in the limelight.

Leadership Role

As the Head Chef, you will take the helm of our dynamic kitchen team, guiding them through the busy… very busy services while always staying on point with creativity and precision. The team is tight, skilled and know what they’re doing. There’s 15 in the crew, they’re all good people and it’s a very low drama kitchen.

Responsibilities

It’s the usual suspects here, no surprises, developing food that is on brand but with your unique style and input that will be redefining contemporary barbecue. Managing kitchen operations with a keen eye for detail, and engaging directly with our discerning clientele to enhance their dining experience. Running a high-end kitchen requires many things and discipline is one of them, having a stern quiet word with staff is fine, but getting vocal in front of guests is not. It’s a very open kitchen, so this person needs to be in control of the kitchen and themselves.

Seasoned Experience

We are searching for a candidate with a rich background as a senior sous chef or head chef in Michelin-starred or Hatted dining establishments, particularly those specializing in modern grill/barbecue would be great but not essential.

Pass Pro

Everybody’s done the pass at this level and most consider it a strength. This pass will put that to the test, with lots of parts that need to go out at very specific times. It requires that this pass has three people on a service to give you a sense of just how busy it is for a fifty-plus-seater. You’re going to need to be on your game at running the pass to be successful in this role.
