  • Responsible for daily operations, presentation, and end-to-end guest experience
  • Works closely with ownership to maintain standards, occupancy, and overall performance

About the Business

This is a boutique retreat and wellness property unlike most. It is calm, considered, and quietly refined. Guests do not just visit, they return, often multiple times a year, because of how they are looked after and how the space makes them feel.

Everything here has been built with purpose, from the way the property is presented to the overall guest experience.

The business includes around 30 boutique cabins, wellness experiences, and a few supporting spaces in the surrounding area.

About the Role

This is a hands-on Retreat Manager position where your focus will be on maintaining presentation standards, enhancing the guest experience, and overseeing day-to-day operations.

Working closely with the owners, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the property operates seamlessly, maintains a consistent look and feel, and delivers a high-quality experience at every guest touchpoint.

You’ll oversee all aspects of the property—from housekeeping and grounds maintenance to guest arrivals and managing weekend activity—keeping everything organised, aligned, and running efficiently.

During peak periods, you’ll step into a Duty Manager capacity, supporting the team on the ground and responding to guest needs in real time.

In addition, you’ll contribute to the commercial performance of the retreat by managing occupancy, responding to enquiries, supporting partnerships, and collaborating with external marketing providers on campaigns and promotional initiatives.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Oversee housekeeping, grounds, and overall presentation
  • Manage rostering, suppliers, and team structure
  • Maintain and improve cleanliness and operational standards
  • Implement systems, checklists, and quality control
  • Lead and support staff and volunteers across the property
  • Act as Duty Manager during key periods
  • Be present for guest arrivals and key touchpoints
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve issues professionally
  • Coordinate daily operations across departments
  • Support occupancy, group bookings, and partnership enquiries
  • Work with external marketing support on campaigns and promotions
  • Support training, onboarding, and team culture

About You

  • You are calm, practical, and consistent, with a strong operational background in accommodation or retreat environments.
  • You lead quietly, notice detail, and take pride in maintaining standards.
  • You are confident managing people, property, and priorities, and comfortable stepping in where needed.
  • You communicate clearly, stay organised, and understand the rhythm of weekends and peak periods.

The Offer

  • Flexible working structure with 4 or 5 days
  • Established systems and loyal guest base
  • Support from engaged ownership

This is a business with a very particular feel, built with care and intention.

If you value consistency, understand retreat-style hospitality, and lead in a calm and steady way, this could be a great fit.
