Overview

A charming country pub in the Blue Mountains is seeking a Jnr Sous Chef to work alongside a talented Head Chef with extensive expertise.

The Location and Venue

Situated in the Blue Mountains, just 1.5 hours from Sydney, this venue boasts a vibrant food scene and offers a beautiful living environment. Recently renovated, this beloved local country pub aims to provide a premium dining experience.

The Role

An interesting role in assisting in running the busy pub, which is serving elevated Pub style food. It’s a hands-on role and they are a very busy venue. They need a chef who is confident in all sections in the kitchen and can comfortably run a busy section solo.

Seeking a calm and composed leader with strong collaborative and effective team management skills.

The Chef & The Crew

This role will be based in the busy pub bistro. As the Jnr Sous Chef, you will be assisting the Head Chef in running it with the support of a small team and the family owners.

In addition to supporting the Head Chef and managing daily operations, additional duties, are but are not limited to:

  • Hands-on with prep, service and running dockets
  • Assist head chef with rosters and team management
  • Assist with menu designing and coming up with specials

Your Experience

A minimum of three years of experience as a chef in a fast-paced setting.

On Offer

A salary starting from $75K+S, and the opportunity for added on-site temporary accommodation. It’s a 42-45 hour work week.
