The Position

This is a standout opportunity for an experienced and motivated Head Chef to step into a hands-on leadership role within a dynamic, high-volume kitchen. You’ll take full ownership of day-to-day kitchen operations across two popular outlets, bringing a balance of operational excellence, creative menu direction, and genuine team development.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, mentoring and developing a diverse team of chefs and kitchen hands
  • Overseeing the daily operations of two kitchens in a busy dual-venue setting
  • Ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene are maintained at all times
  • Managing supplier relationships and monitoring food costs to achieve budget targets
  • Coordinating staff rosters and ensuring efficient service during peak trade
  • Collaborating closely with senior leadership to develop menus that delight loyal guests and attract new diners
  • Fostering a positive, respectful work environment aligned with the venue’s core values of trust, integrity, continuous improvement and community
  • Taking a proactive, hands-on approach, you won’t be stuck behind a desk

What You Will Need

Key qualities include:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef in a busy, high-volume environment
  • Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and traditional cooking methods
  • A hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate, train and retain staff
  • Strong operational skills, with experience managing food costs and suppliers
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required, you write your roster
