The Location and Venue
The venue is situated in the Blue Mountains, just 1.5 hours from Sydney. It boasts an established food scene and offers a picturesque living environment.
It’s a newly renovated and well-loved local country pub looking to create a premium offering.
There is a huge opportunity to showcase and support some local suppliers, butchers, and growers.
The Role
An exciting role in running the busy pub, which is serving all the usual classic Pub style items with weekly specials to keep the locals coming back. It’s a hands-on role and this venue is bursting on the weekends.
Seeking a calm, collaborative approach to team management. We value leaders without egos – no yelling allowed! This creative position offers complete control over the menu, with 2-3 changes annually.
The Chef & The Crew
This role is situated in a bustling pub Bistro. As the Head Chef, you will oversee the hands-on management of the kitchen and lead a small team of dedicated chefs. You’ll have the support of the General Manager and owners whenever required.
In addition to managing day-to-day operations, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Hands-on with prep, service and running the pass/grill
- Rosters and team management
- Drive menu designing and coming up with specials with the assistance of the Sous Chef
- Helping run the kitchen as well as Food and Labour %’s
Your Experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Chef in a fast-paced setting is required.
On Offer
A salary starting from $100K+S, and includes the opportunity for temporary on-site accommodation. You will be working a 42-hour week, distributed across five days.
