The Role
This newly established senior executive role is pivotal to the company’s forthcoming phase of expansion. Reporting directly to the Directors, the Group Commercial Operations Manager will lead strategic projects focused on enhancing profitability, operational efficiency, and business scalability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing multi-venue operations—ensuring consistency, compliance, and commercial results.
- Driving cost optimisation in areas such as labour, COGS, utilities, and procurement.
- Leading the development and rollout of centralised systems, including logistics, production, and rostering tools.
- Collaborating closely with the leadership team to shape business strategy and foster a strong, respectful team culture.
- Mentoring departmental leaders to develop internal succession and team performance.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with strong hospitality expertise and sharp financial skills. You’ll need to be comfortable with a spreadsheet and able to balance big-picture thinking with on-the-ground practicality.
Essential attributes:
- 10+ years in hospitality or operations leadership, ideally including 2–3 years in multi-site management.
- Proven experience overseeing labour-heavy teams with strong financial outcomes.
- Demonstrated success in reducing COGS, wage costs, and utility spend through process optimisation.
- Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, supply chain, and supplier negotiations.
- Comfortable managing large, casual-heavy workforces and coaching venue leaders.
- Regional experience or willingness to relocate to Far North Queensland.
- A team-first mindset that aligns with a values led culture, humble and respectful.
Nice to have:
- MBA or formal business qualifications (not essential if proven industry performance).
- Exposure to production kitchen or centralised systems implementation.
- Experience in hospitality-adjacent corporate operations or transferrable large-scale industries.
The Package
- Base Salary: $130K–$140K + Super
- Bonus: Up to 20%+ based on EBITDA performance (with scalability)
- Relocation Support: Available for the right candidate
