About the Opportunity
This is great for an experienced Junior Sous or Sous Chef. It will reward the right person with a highly organised and professional team, in an environment that encourages support and a go-getter attitude, with ego-free team culture.
You’ll lead and motivate a capable team while maintaining the efficiency expected in a high-volume kitchen. Working closely with your team during service, you’ll also build a strong partnership with the Head Chef, who is known for being fair, supportive, and approachable.
This is high-quality food, so it requires good technique and attention to detail. It’s European with a modern playful spin on the more traditional.
Duties and responsibilities will include the following:
- Ordering, stock takes etc.
- Responsibilities for food and labour costs
- Hands-on running of the kitchen
- Leadership and training of staff
- Working collaboratively with management, especially Head Chef
- Creating a positive working environment
About You
This role requires a person with confidence in their own ability. Previous experience working in a busy venue is preferable. Ideally, you’ll be someone who always remains calm in any situation and is a natural motivator.
Ideally you’ll have at least 2-3 years’ experience at a Junior Sous or Sous Chef level. Being able to meet the expectations of both the business and the customers is a pre-requisite. This will suit a Chef who is career hungry and focused, someone who can display excellent ‘natural’ leadership skills.
Ideal for a chef with experience in hatted-style or premium casual venues, with strong technique and a passion for quality produce. European or Italian experience is essential.
Rewards
