About the Role
This is a true General Manager role for someone who leads with clarity and warmth. You’ll be across the full guest journey from first enquiry to check-out and everything in between.
You’ll oversee daily operations, support a committed team across departments, and ensure the small but important details never get overlooked.
The structure is solid and the systems are in place. Your role is to maintain consistency, thoughtfully refine where needed, and bring a calm, practical leadership style that supports both the team and the guest experience.
You’ll also help oversee tactical marketing and promotions, support mid-week growth strategies, and keep an eye on occupancy. You don’t need to be a strategist, but you’ll know when something needs a push and how to respond with smart, grounded action.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading daily operations across rooms, reception, wellness, kitchen, and guest services
- Walking the property regularly to keep an eye on presentation, signage, checklists, and guest details
- Guiding a casual and part-time team with steady, supportive leadership
- Being present for key guest touchpoints like Friday welcome talks and weekend transitions
- Monitoring occupancy and supporting mid-week trade and return bookings
- Collaborating with marketing support to sign off on campaigns and promotions
- Managing costs and departmental budgets using tools like Wheel and Booking Layer
- Supporting onboarding, team rhythm, and culture with consistency and care
About You
- Strong hands-on operational background in accommodation environments
- Calm, clear, and warm under pressure
- A thoughtful communicator who knows how to lead without creating noise
- Naturally tuned in to guest needs and staff dynamics
- Comfortable managing operations, costs, and people in equal measure
- Willing to shift your schedule around guest needs and understand how the place works across time
