About the Venue

This opportunity is based within a well-regarded destination hospitality property in the wider Southern Tablelands region, attracting guests from across the country who come to experience its unique setting, warm hospitality and curated events program.

The venue is known for hosting premium weddings, private functions and guest experiences in a setting where people come to relax, celebrate and enjoy the surroundings.

Behind the scenes the business operates more like a growing hospitality group than a single venue. Several outlets and guest experiences operate across the property, with additional projects and developments continuing to evolve.

For a chef who enjoys contributing ideas and shaping food offerings, this is an environment where creativity is encouraged and strong concepts are supported.

Produce-driven cooking and thoughtful menu design sit at the centre of the food offering, supported by strong relationships with local suppliers and producers.

The Kitchens

The venue includes a fully equipped commercial kitchen, purpose-built to support a high-quality dining experience as well as premium events and private functions.

In addition, there is a fully staffed café on site, with the Executive Chef playing a key role in menu development and maintaining consistency across the overall food offering.

The Role

An Executive Chef who can lead the kitchen with confidence while maintaining a hands-on presence.

You will oversee the culinary direction of the venue while working closely with management and event coordinators to ensure a consistent and high quality guest experience.

The role balances hands-on kitchen leadership with operational oversight, menu development and team management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and mentoring the kitchen team
  • Designing and executing seasonal menus
  • Maintaining kitchen systems, ordering and stock control
  • Working closely with event coordinators to deliver weddings and private functions
  • Supporting menu development across the café and other guest experiences on the property
  • Maintaining strong kitchen culture and positive team environment
  • Ensuring consistency, quality and efficiency across all food service

About You

The ideal candidate will bring strong culinary foundations combined with confident kitchen leadership. You will have experience working in premium dining environments where quality, consistency and attention to detail are essential. You are comfortable managing kitchen systems, leading teams and maintaining structure while still enjoying the creative side of menu design. You communicate effectively with front of house teams, event coordinators and management and understand the importance of collaboration when delivering exceptional guest experiences. Most importantly you take pride in leading a kitchen that delivers memorable food while maintaining a positive and professional team culture.
