Located in Far North QLD, this large-format, premium brewery and dining venue is a true destination for both locals and visitors. Set against a tropical backdrop where the rainforest meets the reef, part of a super-yacht marina, the venue offers a relaxed yet high-energy hospitality experience, combining quality food, craft beverages, and a vibrant atmosphere across expansive indoor and outdoor spaces.

Specializing in craft beer, which is already winning awards at International beer shows, the brewery has changed the landscape for this area. 

With consistent year-round performance supported by both tourism and a loyal local customer base, this is a fast-paced, high-turnover venue suited to a decisive, hands-on leader who excels in energetic settings. The position presents a significant career pathway, including progression into a broader group role, while offering the lifestyle benefits of living and working in one of Australia’s most sought-after coastal destinations.

The Role 

  • Full responsibility for all kitchen operations, plus mgmt oversight for the whole business.
  • Ensure weekly and monthly Labour and food costs are to budget
  • Provide full menu execution with standard recipes, preparation procedures, cost and service procedures. 
  • Review all food cost-related matters and advise on possible areas where improved costs or improved quality is achievable
  • Ensure the right people for the venue are selected, recruited and measurably trained
  • Monitor and document staff performance, carrying out regular informal and formal reviews.
  • Hands on, running shifts in the kitchen.   

What You Will Need  

  • Hands on with strong food knowledge.  
  • Experience in a high volume environment.
  • Excellent cooking skills and overall technical expertise.
  • Having flexibility and dedication, combined with the ability to thrive under pressure and achieve results
  • The ability to lead from the front, in a ‘hands on’ manner and belief in teamwork, people, people’s development and training.
  • Having excellent communication skills thus enabling him/her to efficiently coordinate and delegate effectively.
  • Having a modern man-management style
  • Proven experience following and managing WHS, Food Safety and HACCP policies and procedures in order to comply with current and future legislation.
  • Ability to motivate a diverse range of people and build rapport
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and a passion for quality customer service
