The Role in a Nutshell

You are the events operational heartbeat  during the week, you build accurate orders, create clear prep sheets for the kitchen, coordinate suppliers and deliveries, and help with packing and dispatch on the Friday push. When it makes sense you may support select off site events and capture some cool photos for socials.

Systems and Tools You Will Use

  • Flex Catering to build orders end to end then generate daily and weekly prep sheets and production lists. You will also make small manual adjustments after export so chefs have exactly what they need.
  • Flex Catering deep dive to help us get more from features we are not using fully yet. You enjoy exploring settings and improving workflows.
  • Simple PDF quotes for larger one hundred plus events before details are loaded into the back end for prep and dispatch.
  • Instagram for a few straightforward posts each week using photos taken on site. The weekly EDM remains with the owner.
  • Mac based environment with shared image folders for quick access to event shots and catering images.
  • Labels and checklists to match bags and tubs with orders so packing is smooth and nothing is missed. Online catering typically closes forty eight hours prior so you start Fridays with final prep sheets ready to go.

A Typical Week

  • Monday to Wednesday lots or organisation and admin early in the week, you will be loading orders finalise prep sheets speak with the kitchen and drivers
  • Thursday lock quantities with the chef place supplier orders and stage tubs and inventories
  • Friday label pack and dispatch then enjoy your weekend

This flow supports corporate orders through the week and a bigger push on Fridays.
