Everyone is well-supported, enjoying a genuine work-life balance with no more than 42 hours per week and opportunities to have weekends off, particularly Sundays.

About the Opportunity

This role is ideal for a Sous Chef looking to step into a Head Chef role and work in an environment that’s busy and stable.  You will be rewarded with a highly organized and professional team in an environment that fosters support and a go-getter attitude.

  • Team Leadership: Conduct and motivate a team, maintaining high standards of service in a high-volume environment.
  • Kitchen Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, focusing on organizing and running the kitchen.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the management team to ensure smooth operations and a positive working environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ordering and Stock Takes: Manage inventory and ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
  • Cost Management: Take responsibility for food and labor costs, in line with Group Head Chef directives.
  • Hands-On Leadership: Run the kitchen, lead and train staff, and create a positive working environment.
  • Service Excellence: Maintain the high level of service required, working collaboratively with the team.

About You

  • Confidence and Experience: At least 2/3 years of experience at a Sous level in large, busy venues is essential, or a current existing Head Chef.
  • Calm Under Pressure: Ability to remain calm in any situation and naturally motivate your team.
  • Leadership Skills: Display excellent ‘natural’ leadership skills and meet the expectations of both the business and customers.
  • Career-Focused: Hungry for career growth and ready to take on new challenges.
