About the Venue

Join a prestigious, multi-faceted hospitality establishment in beautiful Mudgee, known for its exceptional service and modern approach. The venue has multiple bars and restaurants, gaming facilities, and versatile event spaces catering to a diverse clientele. Although much has been accomplished in the last two years, new projects and initiatives are still planned for the coming 12 to 24 months. The company is in exceptionally good shape and recorded excellent figures over the last two years, and the company culture from a people point of view is also very good.

The Role

We seek a unique blend of characteristics for the leader of this very successful business with huge potential for further growth and development. The face of the business is someone who’s out speaking to the members, engaging the local sporting events speaking and working with the staff, mentoring them throughout the day whether it’s about getting them to listen to “what’s not there” or some tips on how to deal with difficult situations this person will be setting the bar and the tone for the culture in the business from the front.

We’re also looking for someone who can work on a lot of different levels, has a passion for developing business, is creative in thought and analytical by nature, and, of course, someone who can execute.

Leadership & Team Management: Exemplify and lead by example, setting high standards for staff performance and customer service. Regularly walk the floor, coaching and mentoring your team to engage them in continuous improvement. Create “an experience” for guests and inspire your team to refine and enhance the details that contribute to making it the best venue in town and the area.

Financial Management: Demonstrate strong financial acumen by managing budgets, analysing problems and opportunities, and overseeing financial reporting. Ensure profitability and efficient resource management.

Capital Expenditure & Strategic Planning: Oversee capital expenditure projects and strategic planning to enhance venue performance and long-term growth.

Community Engagement: This is key to building and maintaining strong personal and commercial ties within the community. Engage with local organisations and events. Someone with a community-minded approach.

Gaming & F&B Operations: Ensure smooth operations of gaming facilities and F&B outlets, focusing on customer satisfaction and revenue growth. drive them through great service strategic planning. Drive them through a passion for all things food and beverage and gaming.

Creating Experience: Drive exceptional customer service standards, create memorable experiences for guests, and continually refine operations to exceed expectations. It sounds fluffy, but what we’re looking for is somebody who is present in the business, not in the office all the time, but checking in on the guys, giving tips, coaching, and mentoring to ensure that the culture is on point.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing daily operations across gaming and F&B outlets to ensure exceptional service and guest satisfaction.
  • Leading and mentoring a dynamic team, fostering a positive and productive work environment by walking the floor and providing hands-on training. Focus on creating experiences and refining the details to elevate guest experiences.
  • Managing budgets, inventory, and supplies to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Collaborating with owners and other departments to plan and execute events and special functions.
  • Innovating and maintaining high standards in food and beverage offerings.

What You’ll Need

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a high-volume, multi-outlet environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor your team by actively engaging with the team and working with them.
  • Strong financial acumen to manage budgets and drive profitability
  • A passion for hospitality gaming and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences, always looking to refine and enhance the details.
  • Knowledge and experience in gaming operations.
  • Relevant trade qualifications and current food safety certifications.
  • A proven history of engaging with and contributing to the local community, building strong personal and commercial relationships.
