General Manager – Premium Brisbane Restaurant Group, High Profile Opening, Up to $150K+S

This is exciting times for Brisbane, as it goes from strength to strength with large new venues opening every month.

It is situated on the south side of the Brisbane River and opens in the middle of this year. This will be the jewel in the crown and will undoubtedly set the standard high.

Stunning heritage architecture will blend with high quality furnishings and art, to present one of the most stunning venues in QLD.  It’s going to be set on 4 floors, with a fine dining Asian restaurant and European style brasserie making up the core F&B components.

The Operators

This is all part of a well-established local hospitality group that’s been leading the Brisbane scene for a number of years, currently with 5 other venues.

They are very much about quality and stability, creating timeless venues that are all about creating a unique experience. The owners are people that love hospitality and are involved with decision making while also allowing their staff to express their artistic skill and talent.

The Role

  • Full set up of multi-site venue, including procurement.
  • Ensure weekly and monthly labour and beverage costs are to budget
  • Provide service procedures and brand standards, including Health & Safety across the whole site
  • Ensure the right people for the venues are selected, recruited and measurably trained
  • Monitor and document staff performance, carrying out regular informal and formal reviews
  • Hands on working in each business, on the floor with the team and building rapport with guests

What You Will Need 

  • Premium dining background
  • Experience in a high volume multi-outlet environment, preferably an opening
  • Having flexibility and dedication, combined with the ability to thrive under pressure and achieve results
  • The ability to lead from the front, in a ‘hands-on’ manner and belief in teamwork, people, people’s development and training
  • Having excellent communication skills thus enabling him/her to efficiently co-ordinate and delegate effectively.
  • Having a modern man-management style
  • Ability to motivate a diverse range of people and build rapport
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and a passion for quality customer service
