About the Company and Venue

Our client is a small, family-owned pub group with a portfolio of multiple venues. The featured venue is situated in the heart of the city, with excellent public transport links and bustling foot traffic, making it a hotspot for tourists and locals alike.

The Role

This role is a fantastic blend of leadership and hands-on management. You will oversee the front office operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences through the development and implementation of high service standards. Your daily responsibilities will include effective communication with guests and team members, managing operational systems, and improving processes.

You’ll lead your team with a focus on maximizing yield management, working closely with the owners to develop revenue-driving strategies. Your expertise in OTA management, particularly with Siteminder, along with comprehensive knowledge of PMS and revenue management, will be crucial.

What You Bring

  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar front office or boutique hotel management role. Whether you’re currently in a supervisory role or managing a small hotel/motel, this position offers the next step in your career.
  • Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent leadership abilities, and sound knowledge of PMS and RMS systems. Familiarity with Micros and relevant hotel management qualifications are highly valued.
  • Financial Acumen: Understanding the financial levers and drivers of a boutique hotel, with strong yield management skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to address challenges professionally, confidently, and amicably.
  • Personality: A hardworking, team-oriented individual with a drive to succeed, a good sense of humor, and a professional demeanor.
