The Venue

The venue is a brand new renovation. It’s a premium restaurant in a beautiful area around Bateman’s Bay, near beaches, incredible views, natural landscapes and more. This area is right next to the heart of Australia’s coast. All of the fresh seafood will be sourced locally, as well as all of the produce sourced from some of the best farmer markets in Australia, including the venue’s very own garden.

Other than being about this incredible produce, the venue will also be community focused.  They’re aiming at a mix of families, locals, and tourists visiting this incredible destination on the South Coast. Think live music on weekends, functions and events, farmer markets, kids activities and more. The restaurant will include a mix of indoor and outdoor dining, approx. 100 seats inside and additional outside seats.

The whole team cannot wait for the launch and is invigorated and excited about what this venue will be. We are aiming for it to be the flagship food offer in the area, establishing it as a true destination on the South Coast.

The Role

The role is for a Restaurant Manager. We are looking for a warm, engaging personality. It should be someone with the flair for service who gets excited about running a venue and being the face of the venue. You will be customer facing, passionate.  It’s like old school Maître D’ energy but in a casual, warm style of service.

You’ll be working with a strong team with huge support from the senior management team. We have just hired a brand new Head Chef who is full of ideas and excited to be able to launch this new offering. Additionally, you will be working closely with this chef on menu design, looking at different ideas, food costings, tastings, and more.

You will be leading a small team. Your task includes getting them as excited about the venue and produce. We are looking for someone who will get behind the project and get excited. You have to share this very same passion with the staff and customers of the venue. So a passion for training and mentoring is a huge part of the role.

Experience

Ideally, you’ll come from a high-quality and busy Restaurant or Club background as the position requires a person who brings a professional approach to service and training. This position will be ideal for someone looking to advance their career and harness their expertise within a different environment. Restaurant Management experience will be strongly desirable.

This would suit a manager who understands the industry and exceptional food service big picture-wise, but also has a hands-on approach. You’ll be someone with a background in similar quality busy venues, who strives for attention to detail while maintaining a sense of fun. We don’t want to be pretentious or flashy, we want to serve incredible food with a smile, with a sense of fun and energy about the venue.

Salary and Perks

The salary range on offer for this role is up to $105K + Super. This is a well above market salary and is a reflection of how committed we are to finding the right people for the role. Understanding how to run a restaurant is a given but we are primarily looking for someone who will get excited about our beautiful project, amazing food and wanted to share that with our customers.
