The Venue

This is a very stylish and open 60-seat restaurant / café / market in the south of Sydney. It is located close to public transport with plenty of street parking. This is a food-driven venue and designed for foodies with a fully open kitchen to see all the action. Perfect for long ladies’ lunches and a popular stop for local foodies.

A very chic venue with a beautiful and modern fit-out, lots of natural light, and an open kitchen. They serve high-quality food and a strong drinks/wine list. Moreover, there is a full butchery section, deli, café and market style store with high quality produce that the kitchen makes full use of.

The food is classic Italian with modern Australian notes, keeping it simple, fresh, and on the lighter side. Lots of fresh pastas, salumi and classic Italian crowd pleasers!

The Role

This is a role for a strong and passionate supervisor or an established assistant manager. Ideal for someone who wants to take the next step of their career and establish themselves. This is a role that will give you the experience to take the next steps into Operations and Business Management.

You will be learning from the owners. They are very hands on and creative so you will be expected to work alongside of them and help execute their ideas whilst also adding to the mix.

You will be in charge of a small team of 3-4 waiters and a barista. The business is only open 5 days a week with Monday and Sunday off. Only operates breakfast and lunch. The owners would like to implement Friday and Saturday dinners again with the right team in place, but no late nights, finishing at 9pm.

You will lead, train and work alongside a small and passionate team. It is a service driven role, so you will be expected to get in there with the rest of the team and be quite hands on. Also, there will be some light admin including rosters and cashing, as well as training staff.


Ability to run a busy and fast paced café/restaurant, being prepared to step in when required is a must. Ideally, you’ll have a cool temperament while maintaining happy staff and customers.

Personality wise, we are looking for that warm, engaging, and welcoming personality. Someone that can make all guests feel comfortable and want to come back again and again.

This a very open role for someone with the right attitude and enthusiasm to succeed. In terms of background, supervisor or restaurant management experience is ideal. Having a presence on the floor is where you find yourself most drawn to. More so, leading the floor team by example with a positive energy and stacks of confidence.

The Perks

Getting work-life balance with Sundays and Mondays off. The roster is 8am to 4pm. Fridays and Saturdays will eventually be open for dinners, so no later than 9pm finish on those nights. Staff gets 30% discount off the produce. Paid for every hour you work at a great rate. Work 38 hours and earn $70K; work 45 hours and earn $82K. Work more??? Then you earn more!!!
