With a stunning backdrop in a leafy part of Sydney, this property is currently going through huge multi-million dollar renovations, mostly in the F&B. It has a large bar, cafe, BBQ Terrace, and restaurant being the nucleus of the new project.

Supported by a close-knit team and a fair-minded and supportive GM, you’ll be leading the F&B revolution at this grand venue that caters for well-heeled regulars & locals.

The Role

Reporting to the GM, the F&B manager will be responsible for all things F&B, including recruitment, service standards, customer relations, training, supplier relations, events and financials reporting.

While there is plenty of support in the role, the expectation is that this person is very much a self- starter and someone who is very proactive.  It’s a hands-on role so you’ll be expected to lead from the front and have lots of customer contact.

You’ll also be working closely with your team, mentoring and guiding them in achieving the goals and business objectives of the club.  This role is all about taking this venue to the next level for professionalism and customer service.

The real meaty part of this role though is overseeing the renovations to the bar & restaurant.  You’ll be required to be the expert and help design a vision for the future, both operationally and strategically.

Who We Are Looking For

You’ll have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.  In addition and given the nature of this role, you will need to have had some experience running functions and events (weddings, corporate, etc) in the industry.

A down to earth leadership style and a being a real people person are essential. It’s also very important that you are confident and comfortable working with the well-established regulars.

This role would suit someone with solid hotel or restaurant experience who is looking to find a new pathway within the industry, work somewhere with a better work/life balance and has a more localized feel.

The Perks and Benefits

The *salary will depend on your experience but will be between $80,000 to $95,000 pa depending on skills and experience. Your week will cover 5 days, mainly Tues-Sat, mostly day shifts, around 40-45 hours. Parking and meals are provided.
