The Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding position for an experienced Operations Manager ready for that next step or a current Licensee that wants to have an input and make their mark on a venue.

You’ll oversee a large team and a complex, diverse business. Your day will be kept busy having full responsibility for the entire operation, organizing entertainment & events, driving revenue and implementing long-term strategy while simultaneously keeping an eye on operations. You will be helping create a service-driven culture and building a strong, vibrant team.

As operations manager, you’ll be fully accountable for the business plans, P&L’s and weekly reporting with full support from the Senior and Head office teams.

Required Experience

You’ll be an experienced operations manager or Licensee coming from a strong high-volume background. You need to be someone who thrives on a challenge and has an undiluted passion for the industry, full of ideas, who can understand the area and clientele, maximizing the offering to fulfil its potential.

A hands-on approach is vital for this role, someone who doesn’t mind rolling their sleeves up and getting involved with every aspect of the business. You’ll be a natural leader who is able to inspire and influence by leading from the front. You will need to be in your element on the floor. You should be in the thick of it during the busy nights and service periods.

Training and development of the team is a key element to this role. You will lead and mentor a young and enthusiastic team. The following attributes are also essential:

  • Several years’ experience in a senior role within a high turnover, multi-faceted property
  • Savvy with liquor licensing laws and compliance
  • Proven experience building, leading, managing, motivating and driving large teams to consistently reach targets
  • Savvy business skills, strong working knowledge of the financials, P&L, wages and COGS
  • Fantastic presentation and great communication skills

The Reward
