The Role

Reporting to the owner, you will be responsible for FOH operations within the group.  There are many moving parts in this business, perhaps more than most. This incorporates casual, premium casual, retail, events as well as brand partnerships and wholesale production.
The business will be entering into a new phase within the next 18 months with new ventures, including a couple of large sites and all within the challenging times of COVID.

The role will see you working very closely with the owner, that in itself is a critical factor in finding the right fit for this position.  Being able to slot into a role at this level, with an existing business and working closely with an owner requires someone with an excellent commercial level of acumen and strategy—also a high level of EQ and ability to know when to flex and when not to.

While it is undoubtedly an executive-level role, reflected in both title and remuneration, the culture of the company is one where you need to be on the ground to control and understand what’s happening within. While the level of skills, knowledge and aptitude will dictate a match in terms of the experience of the applicants, this level of flexibility and expertise in working in a similar fluid management structure would be favourable. In short, it’s not purely an office job; we want someone who exudes hospitality and who wants to be on the floor seeing what is happening, getting to know the employees and have their finger on the pulse and eye on tomorrow.

The successful candidate

Must have a stable and robust background in hospitality management at a senior level. You will possess strong financial management skills and a demonstrated history in achieving profitability. Your leadership experience will have been gained in a group environment, and you will be able to balance the core demands of leading from the front operationally, being hands-on, while incorporating long-term strategy and structure.Your experience in detailed analysis, monitoring of venue profitability, contributing ideas to growth strategy and business planning will be highly regarded.  Naturally, you will possess a collaborate style, be an excellent communicator and able to deliver results.You will be very comfortable leading from the front, financially astute, operationally sound and strategically focused.
