This venue is located in the CBD and in one of Sydney’s high-end and well-known skyscrapers. This site has a bustling cafe serving fresh/beautiful cafe fare (think Ottolenghi style), as well as busy events and catering for the corporates.
They provide morning teas, buffets, plated sit down functions and cocktail functions, etc. All up they have a cafe and 2 levels of conferencing and events spaces.
The opening for Events Manager or Operations Manager is a unique role that requires the successful candidate to be highly organised as well as being open to new possibilities. Someone with a good amount of experience in corporate events is essential. There is a lot of client management so having the expertise to manage and meet expectations is a core component.
You should be a well-rounded and balanced individual, someone who loves to be bold and confident, and a natural leader who can inspire and motivate a team of casuals. You also need to be a hospitality professional that genuinely loves good food and has cutting edge ideas to make things even better.
Experience in financial reporting with exposure to profit and loss would be highly advantageous, but not essential as this can be taught to the right candidate.

You’ll be working on average 40-45 hours. It is Monday to Friday 90% of the time with occasional events 70% on days with some evening events but the vast majority are early finish.
