The Venue and Group

An established and successful group in the North Shore is opening a brand new venue in the area with a strong focus on food and beverage. It’s a new concept with a beautiful modern fit out and stunning kitchen, with a focus on a roaring grill. They support sustainability and are conscious about environmental impact, and the team is committed to serving their local community.

The GM and Head Chef are a team who’ve successfully opened venues together for the company before and worked in the company for years together. They are always looking for new and exciting concepts they can bring to the group. This new concept is to be the flagship in the group, and the GM is keen to bring in the new leaders within the business and launch this venue.

The Role

Working as a Duty Manager you’ll be responsible for overseeing a team of staff and their delivery of amazing food and beverage, with a mix of shifts.
There’ll be a range of staff members and you’ll be leading amongst a team of managers, from reception to bartenders, waiters and function teams. You’ll get strong support with other managers on shift, and a switched on GM who’s excited to build his team, and mentor leaders throughout the launch.

Experience

Passion for great food and beverage is a must! You will be a people person who enjoys working with a large team, both having fellow managers to work together leading the staff, and being able to individually motivate the team and get them excited about executing the brand new concept.

Previous experience leading teams of staff is essential here. This would be perfect for someone who is either an experienced Assistant, Supervisor or Duty Manager.

Rewards

Great pay structure and stability as the group comes from the Club system. Salary is 76k + Super, and five weeks annual leave a year built in. 40 Hours / week – this is a company that value work life balance for their staff. They work on rotating rosters and mixes of shifts.

This is their second new acquisition in four years, so they are always looking for leaders to progress with them. There’s definitely room to grow and progress within the group.
