The Venue

Situated in Sydney’s West, 10 minutes from St Mary’s, this venue really has it all. It’s a big, busy, community pub with multiple bars, a pumping bistro and an enviable beer garden that plays host to frequent events. It’s a highly-rated and loved locals’ venue.

The Role

As Duty Manager, you will be working closely with the Licensee and management team and will be part of the day-to-day running of the venue with a particular focus on Events. The venue is already known for hosting some great functions, a mix of private parties and business meetings but there will be a big emphasis on building and driving the growth potential in this area with the support of the Entertainment and Marketing Manager.

It is a hands-on role and the expectation is that you will be leading the floor, interacting with client’s daily and mentoring and guiding your team, helping them to achieve goals and business objectives.

You’ll have a ton of support from the Licensee and the rest of the team. You will also get to have direct input in the business planning by putting forward ideas to help drive the business, especially around promotions and events.

Who We Are Looking For

This is a role for someone who has the right attitude and has come from a service background with a down to earth leadership style. Being an engaging, people person is essential for being successful in this role.

The company is willing to train and develop in specific areas but ideally, you will have experience in functions and events as well as sound knowledge across multiple revenue drivers; food and beverage, kitchen, gaming, TAB and bottle shop.

Rewards

Salary range is from $60 – $65K + Super for the candidate with the right skills and experience.  You’ll also have a work-life balance with no doubles, only 5 straight shifts and a rotating roster, around 45-50 hours a week.
