The Venue

Our company is looking for a Senior Duty Manager to help lead the team at this pumping, high energy, entertainment-focused venue. The venue has a range of offerings. It has a fully decked bars, a great kitchen and a live music and entertainment space at night. We are all about DJ’s, live bands, themed nights, trivia. This is a fun and vibrant environment and we are looking for a manager to join our team who wants to jump in and get involved in everything we are doing.

A mix of shifts are on offer with a rotating roster. There are some late nights involved as well as day shifts. No gaming at the venue, and we are all about great bev, entertainment and food.

The Role

Working as a Duty Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing a team of staff and their delivery of amazing food and beverage. There will be a mix of shifts. We are all about the good vibes, and not looking for egos. We want a manager who we can train up to be a strong, capable operator. You need to  have passion and enjoy working with an equally passionate and fun team.

Working as a Duty Manager for the whole venue, restaurant, bar and multi-level venue you’ll be working with one of the most experienced GM’s in the industry and a FOH team that is full of energy and style. The venue is a playground for quality food and beverage so a certain amount of product drive would be great.

Not only will you be working in one of the coolest joints in town, but you’ll be well rewarded for your efforts. Salary range is from $75-$80K + Super. You’ll also have a work-life balance with no doubles, only 5 straight shifts and a rotating roster, which means you’ll get some weekend days off. Free meals are on offer for every shift.

You will also get full exposure to full financials so you can build your operational skills, they will train you on wage percentages, food and bev costs, looking at performance. These exposure will mold you into a future operator. There’s huge opportunity for progression in this company as the Group Ops Manager, Licensee and Operations Manager all started off as junior managers in the company. This shows that the company are dedicated to nurturing future talent and leaders.

There’s a huge social element to this role as our team is a tight knit family, of staff and management who look after each other, smash out the work and have fun doing it.

Experience

Passion for great food and beverage is a must! You will be a people person who enjoy working with a large team, both having fellow managers to work together leading the staff, and being able to individually motivate the team and get them excited about working together.

Previous experience leading teams of staff is essential here. This is a perfect role for someone who is either an experienced Duty Manager or with a background in Operations.
