The Company

Located in the heart of the CBD and a quick walk from Martin Place. This is an amazing opportunity to join an established and well-known business that has a great reputation and client list. They are very focussed on high-end events and functions, offering their clients premium fine dining service in a boardroom setting.

The company is contracted to do the onsite catering and events for their high-end client who is a leading group that employs the who’s who of the Sydney corporate world. Everything about this company and the role is high end, on point, classy and professional.

The company provides staff meals and closes during public holidays, which is an added bonus.

The Role

As the boardroom supervisor, you will be working closely with the banqueting and guest relations team. They are responsible for taking the events bookings from the client and detailing the number of guests expected, the menu and times.

It is then your responsibility to coordinate the execution of the event from rostering and delegating staff, setting up for the event, liaising with the kitchen on the menus and dietary requirements, arranging beverages / wines etc.

The events can vary from casual working lunches, to 3 course sit down lunches or canapes events for small groups of 10 people to large groups of 300 people.

As all events are Monday to Friday, the opportunity for work-life balance is very present.

Who We Are Looking For

You need excellent communication skills both written and verbal. In addition and given the nature of this role, you will need to have had some strong experience running events or boardroom corporate functions.

It’s also very important that you are confident and comfortable working with corporate clients.

You should carry yourself well and be highly professional. As the face of the meetings team, you will need to be engaging with the clients at a high-end level and ensure that all standards are maintained at a high level.

Great organisational skills are paramount, as well as a good eye and attention to detail.

The Perks

Get that work-life balance as events are done Monday to Friday only! No super late finishes. Function times will vary with the odd finish at 9pm, but this is very rare. Most days you are out the door by 5:30pm.
