It’s got a great food menu with modern dishes, pub classics and smoked + grilled proteins. Backed up with some great bars, offering signature cocktails, spirits, craft beers on tap and a big range of wines. The venue is pumping and ready for it’s re-opening. It’s a progressive company that has venues all across Sydney and known for their support and development of their leaders.

The Role

This is perfect for an experienced Duty Manager / Assistant Manager ready to take the next step in the industry. It’s an Assistant Manager role working in a strong, established team. You’ll be working with the General Manager and Ops manager amongst a team. This is a great opportunity to be mentored by the best and experienced operators who have great relationships and are wanting to bring someone into the fold to help run this successful and pumping venue.

The venue is big on food, so an important part of the role is being comfortable leading teams to deliver exceptional service. You will be managing teams across bars, food and reservations so you need to be comfortable managing staff, working with chefs, and having that warm, friendly personality with your teams while being hands on.

Required Experience

We are looking for someone with supervisor experience, from a high volume, service-focused food / bistro / restaurant environment. You need to be comfortable across bar and food service, managing reservations, writing bar rosters and genuinely enjoy leading teams of enthusiastic staff! Coming from a big, busy role previously is hugely important. Also, any experience running small groups or functions is a plus as well.  Natural leaders, happy to take the reins.

Hours and Rewards

The managers do a mix of shifts. As an example, you would do 3 to 4 x 5pm-1.30am and 1 to 2 1130am-9pm. The team mixes it up, but of course, there are busy weekend nights involved in the role. 40-45 hours a week, with a generous salary on offer for a candidate with the right experience. The GM is focused on getting the right people in and mentoring and developing their skills in operations. It’s an established group that always search within for roles and love developing and promoting from within.
