The Property

This new restaurant opening will be the first of its kind for this experienced hospitality group. Having had many years opening and operating cafés, the group will expand and expect to open their first upmarket restaurant venue in mid May.

Boasting a sexy contemporary fit out, this restaurant will cater to corporate clients for lunch and transition into the IT destination for dinner. It will feature live music on Friday and Saturday nights. It’s a large restaurant with 180 pax capacity inside and out. It also has a gorgeous space to host functions and events. No expense has been spared on this high-end, stylish and funky venue that is sure to be a favourite amongst the locals and corporates alike.

The Role

This is a chance for a strong Restaurant Manager to step up or an experienced General Manager to take the role with a hands-on leadership approach. The ability to hire, train and nurture a new and eager team will be essential. Having a detailed eye as well as a fun and open approach is key, as you will have input in every aspect.

You’ll have a large team to conduct and motivate, along with maintaining the high level of service expected from all the guests, so a manager with lots of passion and presence will definitely fit the bill.

This is a chance to build the restaurant from the ground up, creating your own SOP’s, sequences of service, liaising with suppliers and working side by side with the owners to help in a smooth and successful opening. Continuing to help the restaurant gain momentum while building a strong reputation with customers in the days, weeks, month to follow is key.

We are really looking for someone that can drive the business from the front, get to know the locals, create a buzz and pass on some of that enthusiasm.

The Required Experience

Perfect for someone with supreme confidence in their own ability. Previous experience working in premium casual is essential, someone who understands and delivers good service. Ideally, you’ll be someone who always remains calm in any situation and is a natural motivator.

This will suit a Restaurant Manager looking for that next step. Someone who is career hungry and focused and able to display excellent ‘natural’ leadership skills. Also, who’s got that inner drive to make a business successful, a person who loves to develop their knowledge further and grow everyone else around them.

You’ll have experience running a business from a financial perspective, driving top line revenue, and managing costs. Proven experience building, leading, managing, motivating and driving teams to consistently reach targets.

Paramount in this role is the ability to understand the market, drive strategy and target opportunities.

Hours and Rewards

This will be highly rewarding. Up to $130K + super + great tips for the person with the right skills and experience.

The restaurant will be closed on Sundays. Also, busy lunches expected so chance to have one or two extra evenings off.
