This dining space is inspired by the rooftop gardens in New York and the forward thinking sustainability of Greenhouse in Perth or The Farm in Byron. This unique concept is opening in Melbourne for the first time this year.
A large beautifully designed restaurant, cafe and events space will occupy some of this rooftop inner city entertainment and retail precinct, incorporating both inside and outside dining. This will be seamlessly intertwined with an activated rooftop farm, commercial and productive. Incorporating beehives, chicken coops, composting, vertical and hydroponic planting, this will be fully workable, providing a genuine farm to fork experience for the customers.
As the site develops, there will be vast opportunity for education talks, workshops and community events.
The team behind this game changing project is very passionate about the whole Urban Farm movement and is very excited to introduce this to Melbourne.
Part of a small group, they have an experienced background in hospitality, from both HR and Financial management, and will provide the chosen candidate with professional and ethical support. The group is very quality focused and will be looking for someone who is equally service driven. Their style is very much an honest and open culture of management, allowing the general manager to express their ideas and shine with the company.

This is all about place, offering the public a rustic and authentic setting, while striving to create a healthy and simplistic menu, organic and fresh, the word seasonal becoming an embodiment of the whole business. The menu will be completely dictated by what is growing at the time and will reconnect people to the fundamentals of great food.
A winning combination of the vision and location, 14km from CBD, of this venue will create a very busy environment that will require a large team to deliver exceptional service.
There will be a large restaurant, with both inside and outside dining as well as a greenhouse style cafe.
As general manager, you’ll be someone from a restaurant background who thrives on managing large teams and is totally service driven. An experienced restaurant manager or 2IC who is ready to step up will be considered and or a general manager who still has that wholehearted passion for floor service.
A person who is very adaptable and dynamic will be essential for this new venture. You need to be someone with a strong interest in farm-to-fork dining, and someone who can take the concept and run the venue like it’s their own.
Also the ability to drive the business forward with ideas and energy will be paramount.
This will be a rewarding role for the right person. The general manager, will be working with an exciting boutique operator, within a truly unique concept and space.
There will be lots of support from experienced and dynamic owners, as well as their senior management team.
The salary offered is significant, with a chance to earn a substantial bonus for a successful manager. The offer is up to $105K+S+Tips for the right skills and experience. There will be a bonus of up to 20% based on KPI’s from the first 12 months of trading.
