The Venue

This is a high-end restaurant opening and part of a large group that has been operating for over 30 years.
The flagship restaurant that had a multimillion $$ fit out and concept that will make anyone applying proud to be a part of.

Modern Australian Cuisine, with all produce being sourced from local Australian farmers within a 50km radius from the restaurant. It’s about the story behind the produce, the farmers, and communities, which inspire the menu and the team. It’s relaying that story to the guests and taking them on a journey that goes beyond the four walls of the venue, to the heart of where it all began.

Featuring an open woodfire pit to cook whole fish and pig, within a picturesque dining room boasting water views, as well as an outdoor deck that overlooks the Nepean River. It has all the wow factors!

The Role

This is a strong Assistant Restaurant Manager’s role that will reward the right person with an environment to be proud of.

It’s an opening that is all about quality – from the produce to the service and the customer experience. It’s a venue with class and style, but it’s definitely not pretentious. A person who is down to earth, fun and professional would really suit the role. In return, you’ll be an individual that lives and breathes the industry and has a passion for good food, produce and wine.

You’ll have a large team to conduct and motivate, along with maintaining the high level of service expected from all the guests.

This is a role that requires lots of mentoring and leading. A manager with lots of passion and an even bigger presence will definitely fit the bill. It’s a forward-facing, hands-on role that needs an organised and structured manager to put into place SOPs and sequences of service, encompassing all the core values, motivations and concept of the venue.

You’ll also be responsible for overseeing the contemporary beverage and wine lists.

The Required Experience

Perfect for someone with supreme confidence in their own ability. Previous experience working in high quality, medium size but busy venues is essential. Ideally, you’ll be someone who always remains calm in any situation and is a natural motivator.

Being able to meet the expectations of both the business and the customers is a pre-requisite. Having a good understanding of cost management is essential for this role.

This will suit a manager who is career hungry, focused and able to display excellent ‘natural’ leadership skills. Someone who’s got that inner drive to make a business successful, a person who loves to develop their knowledge further and grow everyone else around them.

A good understanding of wines would be preferred but not essential.

Hours and Rewards

Up to $75K + super + tips for the person with the right skills and experience, working up to 45 hours a week; however, if you work over 47hrs you get a day in lieu.

The chance to work within a rewarding, fast growing and high-profile group, who are looking to open different concepts over the next couple of years.

There is parking on site and the venue is close to public transport.
