The Property

As a part of a highly acclaimed group, the restaurant and small bar are really something else. They are based in Sydney’s eastern suburbs and the area has plenty of parking, beautiful gardens that have the “wow” factor. Think a “Chiswick” type vibe.

The restaurant is a 60 seater so lots of time to do things properly and spend time with the guests. The venue has a hatted chef and focuses on wellness and healthy/organic food. It has a small but professional team of around 6-7 staff plus the small bar staff.

The Role

We are really looking for somebody special to work in this industry-leading venture. The assistant restaurant manager will be collaborating with the Restaurant Manager and Chef who have strong quality restaurant background and are true professionals.

In terms of the nuts and bolts, you would be working closely with the both these people. The Chef as mentioned has a hatted background and passionate about health and wellness.

You will also be of course driving the experience and floor operations:

  • Rostering
  • Service standards
  • Customer relations
  • Some opens and closes
  • Cashing up

It is worth mentioning that an important element to being an assistant restaurant manager perhaps more than in other roles is having that warm engagement with the guests, many of whom are regulars.

What you will need

  • A proven recent track record in quality Restaurant
  • Excellent communication
  • Exceptional customer service with a connected and genuine approach
  • Some local wine knowledge

Benefits

We are looking at 45 hours and a salary of up to $60-65K+S+tips. You will be looking at an approximate take home of up to *$1100 clear. Tips range (as tips do) is around $100-ish a week.
