Located in the Surry Hills / Redfern area, this pub will wow the hearts of Sydney. They’re mixing style, surprise and quality. It’s a venue that has a locals driven public bar, smallish gaming and bottle and all tastefully fitted out. This is the venue you would be proud to be part of.
It also has a stable staff and a GM who is down to earth and like by the company and team. He is switched on and has been in the venue for a couple of years so really understands the intricacies of the venue. Furthermore, the GM is a fantastic mentor to get you to the next stage.
As an Assistant Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the venue, with a strong emphasis on F&B, service and managing the team. This is a professional environment that offers the candidate the chance to work within a very unique space and learn off a business savvy GM.
Also, you will need to be proficient in invoicing, stock control, ordering and POS management as well as general day to day.
Having positive energy and stacks of confidence is a must. You must be a natural leader. There will be a high level of responsibility for the position as this is an opening and they’ll be a lot of press and expectation around the venue.
Responsibilities include leading a staff of 15 or so on the floor. That is why experience managing a similar size service driven in a structured venue is essential. Having that care factor with guests from a community/local style pub is also important for this role.
This would be perfect for someone who is either a supervisor or an experienced assistant manager.
Salary range is from $65-70K+S for the candidate with the right skills and experience. This company takes work-life balance seriously so no doubles getting smashed with extra shifts, etc. without OT pay.
*Hours are rotating, 2-3x day shifts OR 2-3 night shifts (Again, it’s rotating!), which is 5 shifts total and dependent on the roster.
