The Venue

This is a stunning Wine Bar / Cocktail Bar and it is in a well-appointed location in the downtown Liverpool precinct. The owners are bringing the city finesse to southwest Sydney and need a hands-on Assistant Manager or Supervisor.

The Bar is the jewel in the crown of the precinct with its beautiful designer fit out, strong cocktail and wine list.

This venue prides itself in excellence, from the local diverse produce featured on the menu to the attentive and knowledgeable service. Everything is done with style and passion.

The Role

This is an opportunity for a hungry and motivated Supervisor or Assistant  Manager to step up.  There will be mentorship and full support from the executive management team.

A key part of the role is the motivation and development of staff. You need to ensure the smooth running of the venue and create a great guest experience.

The successful candidate will need to forge a strong presence within a busy environment as well as maintaining a hands-on approach.

  • Several years of experience in a good quality venue
  • Proven experience building, leading, managing, motivating and driving large teams to consistently reach targets
  • Self-motivated and driven
  • Fantastic presentation and great communication skills
  • Good wine knowledge essential, bar and barista knowledge would be advantageous

Experience

This a very open role for anyone with the right attitude and the enthusiasm to succeed.

It is ideal that you have a presence and some experience of floor/bar management because, aside from wine duties, you will be required to host and float the wine bar and restaurant floor.

In addition, having positive energy and stacks of confidence is essential.  Also, a good sense of business as you will be responsible for budgeting, stock control and ordering.

Not only will you be working in one of the most established and consistent venues in town, but also will be well rewarded for your efforts.  Depending on experience, salary is up to $70K+Super and 5 weeks holidays.  Plus a work-life balance of less than 45 hours a week.
