The space is very chic with its cosy booths, long copper bar and open kitchen. It highlights quality European-style food featuring an eclectic and extensive wine list.
The owners are smart, genuinely nice people and supportive. They are very passionate about the hospitality industry and love to promote good talent. This experience has come from working front of house at one of Sydney’s best-known restaurants. There is also an excellent bar manager who’s very creative and enthusiastic.
For the assistant manager or step-up supervisor role, the client is looking for someone who:
• Ideally comes from a fine dining/hatted background; experience in quality service
• Has a competent knowledge of European wines
• Knows how to mentor or train floor staff
• Leads by example and takes charge
• Is calm and organised in a busy environment
• Has back of house skills, cashing up, rostering, etc.
The salary on offer for the assistant manager or step-up supervisor is up to $70K+Super, depending on skills and experience. Tips are also shared out among the team.
Hours will be around 40-45 a week with Sundays and Mondays off. There is also flexibility with the roster. You’ll have the chance to be involved with a highly professional local business, helping develop the restaurant and work closely with the owner. You’ll be gaining invaluable skills and developing your small business knowledge.
