The Venue

This role is for an Assistant Manager with a focus on bar operations at a well-known, eclectic venue located within walking distance of Central. This bustling cocktail bar is known for producing smash-able cocktails and great happy hour deals as well as executing amazing private parties and events ­– proven by their amazing reviews.

Reporting to an experienced Venue Manager and with plenty of exciting plans on the horizon, this is a great career opportunity for an experienced supervisor or assistant manager.

The Role

This role has variety, responsibility and the opportunity for you to contribute your own ideas. The role itself is fast paced and hands on. As the Assistant Manager, your main responsibilities will be for all aspects of the bar operations, including:

  • Training and development of the bar team
  • Stock Control
  • Ensuring consistency with products and service
  • Bar preparation, ordering and stock control
  • Driving beverage revenue

You will be reporting to a very experienced and bar savvy Venue Manager who will be there to mentor and train in all aspects of the business.

Ideal Candidate

Ideally, you’ll be someone that comes from a professional hospitality background, fast-paced and dynamic, with the ability to lead a team and bring that high level of friendly customer service.

Training and development is key to this role, so a strong training background and a patient persona would be preferable. Experience in stocktaking and ordering processes is also an advantage.

The Reward

The Assistant Manager is required to work a 5-day week, incorporating 3 doubles and 2 straight shifts, but with fair hours and no early mornings or late nights. The venue is also closed on Sundays! Salary is up to $60-$65k+S for the perfect fit.
