It’s a modern well-equipped restaurant with a very stable kitchen brigade and owners that look after their staff. It’s an incredible restaurant stunning fit-out, and as a result, is one of the best in the area. They are market leaders and a destination in the Southwest of Sydney. On a busy night doing 100 covers and mid-week about 40 covers.
You will be comfortable with all areas of the kitchen. While the restaurant is Gastro Pub, there are a lot of classic techniques and things made well and from scratch. The main thing is a technically proficient chef with a passion for doing things well and a passion for good quality Gastro pub.
People Skills and Leadership
We are looking for someone who is a calm, intelligent Chef who leads from the front and can effectively communicate with all types of people. This is an established kitchen and business that is running well so we are looking for a “slowly slowly” approach to any change. Calm and controlled, no yelling and screaming in this kitchen.
You will also be mentored by a well known and high profile Chef. Teaching you about the finer points of management and how to run the numbers side of things and business side of Chef-ing.
Would generally be looking at a 45 hours week and 5 weeks holiday.
