The Venue

The head chef here is a famous face in this industry, admired by other chefs around the world. This fantastic modern space has open plan areas which look out to gorgeous city views.

There are two kitchens at this venue, one for preparation and one for service. Both are beautifully laid out with loads of space to get the job done. It’s also fitted with top-end appliances and toys to play with. The kitchen is being redesigned, which will make it one-of-a-kind in Sydney.

The Role

This restaurant opens 7 days a week, so you will get either a Friday and Saturday off or Sunday and Monday off. In terms of staff, you’ll meet a lot of senior chefs who have been in the kitchen for over 2 years. The staff churn rate is low in here as this is a good place to work.

The mid-level chefs do 45 hours a week while seniors work 50 hours a week. You may be doing 1 double and 4 single shifts in a typical week. The best part is that they hire professional cleaners to come in for closing, so you can finish by 10:30 pm latest.

Meanwhile, the head chef is a good person to work under and learn from. He is friendly, laidback and understanding with his staff. Most things are made in-house from scratch.

The salary is up to $85K+super for an outstanding candidate.
