Located in a well-known club in Sydney’s south, this quality steakhouse restaurant services a primarily corporate crowd and has a steady trade.
The club is a popular spot in the area and the management is known to be very supportive of its employees. It has multiple restaurants, functions, café, etc. Big renovations and changes are coming up in 2009, so it’s the best time to join and be involved in the growth of the business.
You will be working closely with a dedicated team of 2-3 members on a service. This is a hands-on role and you are expected to run this well-established steakhouse day to day, including running a section and training your guys, among others.
The usual duties and responsibilities of a junior sous chef will apply with emphasis on the following:
• Writing of menus and specials
• Hands-on running of the kitchen
• Training of staff
• Working collaboratively with management
• Creating a positive working environment
The normal working hours per week is around 40 to 45 hours. Expect to get a lot of support and training will be provided if needed across all facets of the kitchen. There is parking, a great salary on offer and 5 weeks holidays.
You are looking at a remuneration package of up to $65K+ Super.
