It’s a modern well-equipped venue with a very stable kitchen brigade and owners that look after their staff. It is an incredible fit-out and as a result, is one of the best in the area. They are market leaders and a destination in the Southwest of Sydney. Lots of corporate and day functions (TDH and buffet) as well as some weddings etc.
People Skills and Leadership
We are looking for someone who is a calm, intelligent Chef who leads from the front and can effectively communicate with all types of people. This is an established kitchen and business that is running well so we are looking for a “slowly slowly” approach to any change. Calm and controlled, no yelling and screaming in this kitchen.
You will also be mentored by a well known and high profile Chef. Teaching you about the finer points of management and how to run the numbers side of things and the business side of Chefing.
Would generally be looking at a 40-42 hour week, the 4-day roster is available and as many of the functions are day time you will also have the opportunity to do 2-3 day shifts a week generally, as well as 5 weeks holiday.
