The Role

As the chef de cuisine, you will help the new executive chef to raise the standards to the next level and gain a bigger following in the industry while eventually chase for a hat.
The plan is to change the food to a more sustainable theme, showcasing simple but brilliantly executed dishes. You will get to work with the finest suppliers in Sydney.

The Food and Beverage Director and Ops roles have been filled with some of the best talent in the industry, operating this venue like clockwork

Meanwhile, the kitchen is well designed and open for the diners to peek. It has everything you could ask for with wood fire ovens, grill, meat hanging fridge, and flat tops. The work flow in here is perfect during prep and service.

Working with the exec chef, you will:

  • Supervise all kitchen sections to maintain consistency and quality
  • Work with suppliers for seasonal ingredients, costs and trends.
  • Run the kitchen in the exec chef’s absence
  • Produce recipes for new dishes and implement it into a good process
  • Supervising all functions during prep and service

The salary is handsome at $100K + super max. There is also tips weekly. Working hours are standard at 50 – 55 hours per week. Lastly, you will get uniforms and free laundry with loads of parking nearby.

Required Experience and Traits

  • Experience running a kitchen and functions at a similar venue
  • A good team player who can work well under someone
  • Loves working with seasonal ingredients
  • Able to do admin work such as costing
  • Independent and a positive person to be around
