The Role

We are ideally looking for a Chef who is on the mark where food is today. Someone who is not only a strong leader but also enjoys cooking and creating menus. You need an eye for detail and to appreciate good quality produce.

As a Head Chef, you will be assisting in all aspects of running the kitchen and developing the team:

  • Build and train the team of chefs
  • Contribute to producing menus that are within the barriers of the company’s direction
  • Work with the Group Chef developing the business
  • Comfortable with the administration and being hands-on in the kitchen

The team is highly organised and professional. The environment is one that encourages knowledge and a go-getter attitude.

You’ll have a large team to conduct and motivate, along with maintaining the high level of service expected from all the guests. You’ll be expected to work closely with the team and run services.

The Required Experience

Experience working in busy and good quality venues is essential. Having have some hatted or Michelin experience is ideal but not necessary. You’ll be someone who always remains calm in any situation and is a natural motivator.

Also, you’ll have at least 1-2 years of experience at a management level. This will suit a Chef who is career hungry and focused, someone who can display excellent ‘natural’ leadership skills.

The salary will be up to $120K + Super + KPI bonuses for the right candidate. On top of this, you will get monthly phone allowances and other perks within the business. Expected hours are up to 45 per week.
