The Role

We are ideally looking for a Chef who is on the mark where food is today. A Chef who is not just a strong leader but enjoys cooking and creating menus. Also, someone who has an eye for detail and someone who appreciates good quality produce.

As Head Chef, you will be assisting in all aspects of running the kitchen and developing the team.

Expectations include:

  • Build and train the team of chefs
  • Contribute to producing menus that are within the barriers of the company’s direction
  • Work with the Group Chef developing the business
  • Comfortable with the administration and being hands-on in the kitchen

It will reward the right person with a highly organised and professional team, in an environment that encourages knowledge and a go-getter attitude.

You’ll have a large team to conduct and motivate, along with maintaining the high level of service expected from all the guests. You’ll be expected to work closely with the team and run services.

The Required Experience

Previous experience working in busy and good quality venues is essential. Ideally, the right candidate will have some hatted or Michelin experience but not necessary. You’ll be someone who always remains calm in any situation and is a natural motivator.

At least 1-2 years of experience at a management level preferred. This will suit a Chef who is career hungry and focused, someone who can display excellent ‘natural’ leadership skills.

The salary will be up to $120K + Super + KPI bonuses for the right candidate. There will be phone allowances and other perks within the business. Expected hours are up to 45 per week.
