Located in the heart of the CBD, this is a popular and established pub. It is part of a supportive company that runs multiple successful venues. A high-volume, predominately corporate venue which can pump out over 200+ covers on a busy lunch. The food is simple, traditional and no fuss, which keeps the regulars coming back day in and day out.

The Role

They need someone used to keeping a calm and level head when the pressure is on. As chef de partie, you will be producing good quality food for the bistro and functions from one large kitchen that’s pumping, so you will need to have the “5th gear” to turn it up a notch when it’s on.

You will be day-to-day working with your guys in the kitchen, running a section, maintaining a positive working environment, etc.

What You Will Need

This is a chef de partie hands-on role, whether you are on the busy grill section, larder or pass. Basically, you should be in there with the guys getting your hands dirty. It’s a big kitchen and plenty of storage, so it works well for the food and covers they are doing.

The ideal candidate is:

• Someone who is a great cook and can also handle a section when under the pump
• Humble and down to earth
• Hard-working and adaptable
• Highly organised and can maintain high consistency in service and prep
• Can create calm and collaborative energy with the team

FAL Hotels has three busy and well run, and respected venues in the CBD and Outer West and they have been busy. Taking the time to reflect, learn and grow in this strange time of uncertainty. They are looking forward to coming back and trading a smarter and more resourceful business. They have been implementing new initiatives, from working with coaches on company culture, working with its people on personal growth to new business offerings and ways of operating. It’s a very focussed and positive time and energy in the business.
They are reopening and have a couple of key roles available, it’s not about just anyone though.
