The Venue

Located in the heart of the CBD, this is a popular and established pub. It is part of a supportive company that runs multiple successful venues. It’s a high-volume, predominantly corporate venue which can pump out over 200+ covers on a busy lunch. The food is simple, traditional and no fuss – it keeps the regulars coming back day in, day out.

The Kitchen

The well-sized, open kitchen has everything you need from combi & pizza ovens, grill, flat top, to walk in freezers and fridges with well-sized bench space and pass area.

The team is medium sized with 5 to 6 people on the roster so this is very much a hands-on role.

The Head Chef has worked for the company for many years across all of the venues. He is a down-to-earth chef who creates a good environment in the kitchen.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Head Chef, as CDP or Jnr Sous Chef you will be a part of this small yet dedicated team in this inner-city pub.  You will run a section, contribute to new ideas, help develop promotions and be very hands on.

  • Great attitude towards work and approachable in the kitchen
  • Someone who likes to lead a team
  • Passionate about producing good food & keeping up with the trends

There is a good amount of work-life balance with every Sunday off and every second weekend off, hours are around 50-55 a week. The salary is up to $65k+Super if you’re the stellar CDP or Jnr Sous Chef they’re looking for.
